Glenrothes Ju Jitsu Club

Glenrothes Ju Jitsu Club is restarting the Tuesday night class on 1st May starting at 7pm and finishing at 9pm within the small dojo.

A weapons class is also starting on Sunday 20th May 0930am, prior to the main session. The cost for the 30 minute session will be £1.00 but if you stay for the main session the weapons class is free.

I am now in a position to confirm that Mr Clark, Simon Remington, Brian Truby and Sue Bott will be in attendance for the Seminar at Glenrothes Ju Jitsu Centre on Saturday 7 May 2007.  The seminar will be between 11.00 am and 2.00pm and cost £15.00.

I would appreciate Club Instructors confirming numbers attending by end April

On the April 21st the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be held at the M.E.N. Arena in Manchester.

From MMAWeekly, the rumoured fight card is;

Some of the members of the SJJS are interested in going, so we are planning drive to the WJJF Headquarters
in Liverpool for training during the day and then move onto Manchester for the 6.15pm start.

As UFCJunkie.com says - The event is sure to be a sell out, so you’d be wise to jump on ticket sales immediately if you’re serious about attending the event.

New Sunday Burntisland Class.

In addition to the Monday class, Sensei Archie Higgins has started a Sunday class from 10am to 12:30pm. At present this will just be for adults only.

The Burntisland Club page and Clubs page have been updated with the new details.

Seminar With Robert Clark, 9th Dan, WJJF

Please make a note in your diary that Robert Clark 9th Dan, the Soke and founder of the WJJF will be holding a seminar at Glenrothes Ju Jitsu Club in the first weekend of May 2007.

The seminar will start on the Saturday, but a decsion has yet to be made whether it will run for one or two days.

When this has been decided full details will be published e.g, times, fee, etc.

Students should not miss this opportunity to train with Mr Clark.

Kirkcaldy Club will have its last training session of the year on Thursday 21st December 2006 at the usual time.   We  return in the new year for our first training session on Tuesday 9th January 2007.  Everyone at Kirkcaldy Club wishes you a merry Christmas and a happy new year and we look forward to seeing you after the festive period.

As you might have noticed, I am applying a new skin to the website and you might see some disruption with logos, images and content. I'll try to fix it over the next couple of days.

If anybody is half decent at graphics, please give me a shout as I need to fix the SJJS banner to match the new skin. Last time I did art, I got 8% for my exam and the teacher threw me out the class ;-)
