The SJJS will increase its annual membership fees; £25 for new members and £20 for renewals. The proceeds from the price hike will go to fund costly events like seminars.
Some clubs will be increasing their session price from £3 to £5. The increase is due to increased cost of hiring rooms at the venues and the fact that a couple of the SJJS clubs have been running at loss for the last couple of years. The Glenrothes Club will be the first club to increase their prices and the others may follow. Check with your club instructor for more details.
The Aberdeen Club is progressing with their membership into the SJJS and WJJF. Frank has got his qualification recognised by the WJJF and others will follow shortly.
A seminar with Simon Rimington in early December is currently be organised by John McNab. The current intension is for Simon to present a one day seminar, probably a Saturday. The location and exact dates will be announced nearer the time.
The next Kyu grading has been scheduled for the first week of December. Again, the exact dates will be announced nearer the time.
Archie Higgins has some SJJS posters that can be used to promote clubs. Contact Archie, Club Instructors or me if you can think of a suitable spot where we can advertise the SJJS and its clubs.
Finally well done to everyone who passed the kyu gradings at the weekend.
